Hacker Pschorr - Himmel der Bayern

Hacker Pschorr on the Oide Wiesn (Historic Oktoberfest)

The Oide Wiesn is making a return to the Oktoberfest site after missing a year and it will also feature a premiere: For the first time we will be selling our Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest beer from a wooden barrel together with Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier. "We are delighted that the city has accepted the plan from Beppi Bachmaier with us as his partner. Our brewery has been represented at the Oktoberfest since 1830 and we have become an integral part of the Wiesn. We are therefore particularly delighted that we will be on the Oide Wiesn for the first time with Hacker-Pschorr", says Hacker-Pschorr Managing Director Andreas Steinfatt.

As for the anniversary Fest in 2010, landlord Beppi will be in charge of the tent after his very successful debut. Just as in his bars, Bachmaier intends to provide a sophisticated programme of cultural events in the Herzkasperl tent and combine it with the tradition of the historic Wiesn. "The tent should be a place to see things and to celebrate, a feast for the eye and ear just like the beer brewed specially for the event by Hacker-Pschorr", says Beppi. In close cooperation with the brewery and the Culture Department, a wide-ranging and high quality concept was created which was enough to completely convince the city to approve the plan. It means that the Herzkasperl will feature traditional folk music together with modern brass rhythm music. Among other acts, the tent will feature performances by the "CubaBoarische" and "Schlachthofbronx". Excellent beer and traditional Bavarian snacks will round off the offering in the tent.

The Herzkasperl tent will seat a total of 1500 people arranged in a semi-circle around the stage. The area is spacious and a dance floor provides plenty of space to party and get close to the musicians. Outside there will once again be a beer garden with around 1000 seats and a small stage.

So to round up, in the words of Andreas Steinfatt, "Come along. It'll be great!"
